If you or someone you know is not registered to vote, you have several ways to register. Any legal citizen of the United States can vote except for a few restrictions because of felony convictions. All local county courthouses or county government offices have a voter registration and election commissioner, you can apply in the county of your residence. You will need proof of identity and proof of legal residence. Social Security card, and proof of residence address are two simple documents that you would need.

The National Voter Registration Act allows you to go online and read the rules for applying by mail.

This printable PDF Voter Registration form is downloadable and has instructions for getting started with special notes for each U.S. state and their rules.

Please do not hesitate to register, you should register at least 3 months before the election you plan to vote in to be sure that you receive your voter registration card and get your name into the voter database for the county you live in. This is one of the few rights that we as American citizens have, and that is to elect the people we want as our leaders. Failure to cast your vote is the failure of America, we can no longer survive with the self-righteous elite politicians that continue to pass legislation that destroys our lives and our country. You think one little vote doesn't matter, it matters a great deal when all those people that had that opinion get together and cast their ballots, so one vote is very important.
